Biography

Harold Thomas Crampton, NZ416861, R.N.Z.A.F., 514 (R.A.F.), son of Robert Marlborough and Eliza Crampton (née Waters) lived in Cheviot. He married Betty Hope Crampton from Te Awamutu, Auckland. He was killed on 11 August 1944 during a daylight raid on Lens Marshalling Yards and is buried in Loos-en-Gohelle British Cemetery.
