Typescript of Sister O'Regan's autobiography, A changing order with pencil corrections and annotations. Includes printer's text and a letter from the publisher.
The printer’s text of one of her books (A Changing Order). The book is in two parts: the first describes the period when she and two other nuns left the convent in 1973 and went to live in Aranui as part of the local community, to give help and support to the poor and the unemployed.
The second part tells of her childhood in Cronadun on the West Coast, through to when she became a nun, her novitate and life in the convent in Timaru, The Sisters of Mercy. She also describes the great changes announced by the Second Vatican Council in 1965. She taught for 25 years in Catholic secondary schools before leaving to live outside
the convent. Date range 1922 – c1982.
