Records of Linwood Public Library includes minutes; correspondence; reports; annual reports; photographs; newspaper clippings; book lists and financial information. Includes records relating to the 60th annual meeting and function in 1959.

The records of the library provide a picture of the activities of the institution during this period. The early years were particularly vigorous, giving some indication of the importance of this and similar institutions to the local community up until about the late 1960s. The later years show the decreasing importance of this particular type of subscription suburban library and its increasing dependence on Canterbury Public Library. The minute book finishes in 1966, though the correspondence series continues to have annual reports spread throughout it.
