Papers and photographs concerning Girton College in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and Archerfield, Braemar House and Columba College in Dunedin.

Includes biographical sketch of Caroline Freeman, the first woman to graduate from Otago University, and the founder of Girton College in Dunedin and in Christchurch. This sketch was written by Dorothy Page, History Dept., Canterbury University, and a copy was donated to the library in 1989.

Includes a copy of the (Christchurch) Girton gazette, Summer 1912.
