A 1940s(?) transcription of the original manuscript that was written in 1904. The original seems to have been lost. The autobiography of George Turner titled Autobiography of a settler in early Christchurch who fought in the Crimean War.
Includes photocopies and typescripts of the autobiography as well as genealogical tables of the Turner family and descendants and a 1941 press article about George Turner, with extracts from his diary (this autobiography).
