Scope and Contents
The papers of the R.S.A. Miss Victory contest, Christchurch includes memrobilia relating to the contest as well as other papers relating to the plannning and delivery of the event including correspondence; minutes; press cuttings; publications; programmes of events; raffle tickets and photographs.
Includes a photograph of four candidates in the contest held at the King Edward Barracks in March-April 1943 as part of a United Nations fair to raise funds for patriotic purposes. Mounted portrait photograph, labelled and dated in manuscript, of four of the contestants. A list of winners, and other details, are also included in manuscript on the photograph and on the board on which it is mounted.
