Photograph has Mrs Jas Allsopp written on reverse of print. Abbreviated form of Mrs James Allsopp or Allsop.

Biographical / Historical
This is possibly Sarah Ellen Allsop, nee Jackson, who was the wife of James Allsop. Sarah Ellen Jackson born in Essex about 1837, married James in 1860, died 8 June 1927 age 90.
The Allsops (spelled with one p on the passenger list, but it has been spelled Alsop) were assisted immigrants to Canterbury on the ship Cathcart in 1874.
James (age 37), Sarah Ellen (37), Matilda (12) James Robert (10), Albert A (6) Annie Dorcas (3) and Elizabeth A (9 months) were all on the ship.
They lived in St Albans from 1881, cannot be identified on any electoral roll records for James earlier than this.
