Scope and Contents

Plans for the Hallenstein Brothers Building at 259-263 High Street/137 Cashel Street. Includes those relating to a number of different businesses operating out of the building across different years.

1948 plan is an interior floor plan for office subdivision for D P S Ainsworth.

1949-1950 plans are for alterations to the Hallenstein Brothers Building including exterior elevations, interior floor plans and technical drawings. One set created by Architect Robert Munro (dated 1950) and another by Architect W H Trengrove (dated 1949).

1952 plan is an interior floor plans for alterations to room for Miss E. Nelson by Architect W N Lowry.

1961 plan is of interior floor plans for Barry Stouppe and Wear created by Architect John Hall.

1966 plans are for alterations for Messers Hallentein Brothers. Includes interior floor plans and technical drawings. Created by Holliss and Leonard Architects.

1969 plans are for an alteration to office space for Camera House Ltd.

1972 plans include a builders plan for removal of partitions and for elevator alterations in the building for Hallenstein Brothers. Also includes interior floor plan alterations to the Canterbury University Club created by Warren and Mahoney Architects.

1976 plans for a proposed extension to the mezzanine floor to the building.
