Photographs of the interior and exterior of Christchurch Town Hall including those taken shortly after completion in 1972. Includes those of the Ferrier Fountain, foyer and main auditorium spaces and of the restaurant. Includes those of events such as Queen Elizabeth II visit and of a home expo held in the Town Hall. Also includes several colour photographs of the Town Hall exterior following snowfall. Includes some colour negatives.
Most of these photographs are in copyright to Green and Hahn or Mannering and Associates.
Includes a promotional booklet for the Christchurch Town Hall including details about the capacity of different event spaces and local accommodation, 1988.

Custodial History
These photographs were formerly held by Christchurch City Libraries as Arch 1139. In November 2023, these photographs were deaccessioned from the Library archives and accessioned into the Christchurch City Council Archives due to their Council provenance.
