Scope and Contents
Maps and plans created and used by the Christchurch Drainage Board. Includes a wide range of maps showing sewer connections across the central city and wider suburbs.
This series includes:
A set of transparencies created for the Christchurch Drainage Board from Drainage Board maps and other historical maps (1856-1905) showing roads, rivers, stormwater systems, pipelines and pumping stations. Many of these are mounted into frames with annotations.
Plans of the City of Christchurch showing drainage across various city locations including Linwood, Woolston, Heathcote, Halswell, Cashmere and some central areas including Antigua Street, Strickland Street, Brougham Street , Durham Street and Montreal Street.
