Christchurch Drainage Board: Maps and Plans
Scope and Contents
Maps and plans largely created by the Christchurch Drainage Board relating to the development of sewage and stormwater networks across the Christchuch Drainage District. Includes a large number of technical drawings relating to the levels and cross sections for different drains and sewers across the city. Also includes plans for pumping stations and for those at the Sewage Farm.
Block plans created by the Christchurch Drainage Board relating to properties in Lyttelton and for Merivale, Fendalton and Bryndwr in Christchurch. Thes plans show sewer connections from properties to the main sewer networks. Also includes some microfilm and microfiche copies of block plans which have not survived in a physical form.

This series has been arranged into subseries to reflect the types of records held. Maps and plans have been collated into a single sub-series. Sets of block plans and volumes of district boundaries and rating areas have been separated as their format and content are different to the wider maps and plans sequence.
