Biography

The Christchurch Drainage Board was constituted by a special Act of Parliament known as “The Christchurch District Drainage Act 1875”, specifically to provide services for the drainage of the City of Christchurch and surrounding districts. Their first meeting was held on the 4th January 1876. The Christchurch Drainage Board amalgamated with Christchurch City Council in 1989.
