Wilfred Daniel Drake shipboard diary

Bound photocopy of the shipboard diary of the Wilfred Daniel Drake on board the barque Rowena of Helingsfors, Finland, 16 November 1922-20 November 1923. This diary was written when he was 18, and recounts a voyage beginning in Newcastle, Australia and ending in Antwerp.

Includes a copy of Bill Drake's obituary, 26/1/87, with a photograph of him, and copy of a review (12/12/87) of the book, Canterbury coasters, which mentions him.
