Biography

The Riccarton Borough Council was created in 1913 after campaigning by the Lower Riccarton Borough Committee. The boundaries covered the Lower Riccarton area while Upper Riccarton was part of Waimairi County Council (constituted in 1910). Riccarton Borough Council amalgamated with Christchurch City Council in 1989.
