Biography

The Spreydon Heathcote Community Board was formed in 1989 after the major local government reforms which saw Christchurch City Council amalgamating with Waimairi District Council, Heathcote County Council, part of Paparua District Council, Riccarton Borough Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board. In 2016, following the local elections, the Spreydon Heathcote Community Board was split between the Spreydon Cashmere Community Board (Spreydon wards) and the Linwood Central Heathcote Community Board (Heathcote wards). Following the 2022 local elections the Spreydon Cashmere Community Board became the Waihoro Spreydon Cashmere Heathcote Community Board. The Linwood Central Heathcote Community Board was split between the Waihoro Spreydon Cashmere Heathcote Community Board (Heathcote Ward), the Papanui Innes Central Commmunity Board (Central Ward) and the Waitai Coastal Burwood Linwood Community Board (Linwood Ward).
