Biography
The Hagley Ferrymead Community Board was formed in 1989 after the major local government reforms which saw Christchurch City Council amalgamating with Waimairi District Council, Heathcote County Council, part of Paparua District Council, Riccarton Borough Council and the Christchurch Drainage Board. In 2016, following the local elections and subsequent boundary changes, the Hagley ward become the Central Ward while the Ferrymead ward was split between the new Central, Heathcote and Linwood wards. These wards were then covered by the Linwood Central Heathcote Community Board.
