Biography

The title of Town Clerk became the City Manager following the amalgamation of a number of wider Christchurch councils in 1989. At this point Christchurch City Council also put in place a new 'Group' structure organising departments into wider groups. The new Office of the City Manager became a separate office which was part of the Corporate Services Group.

At the end of 1991 the structure was altered and the Office of the City Manager became part of a newly created Management Group.
