Biography
In 1974 the Cultural Committee is established as its own committee separate from the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Committee. The new committee was responsible for city Library services including that of the Central Library.
The committees were split due to the increasing workload of the Recreation area, particularly in relation to the management of Queen Elizabeth II Park (QEII).
In 1983 this committee expands to become the Cultural and Public Relations Committee.
