Biography
The Policy and Finance Committee was established in 1974 from the former Policy and Resources Committee. This was a name change only and all the functions of the Committee remained. These included: co-ordinating the activities and reviewing the finances of of operating committees; to determinte prorities for capital works projects; prepare and review capital budgets; consider proposed significant expenditure; city development and planning including transportation studies and off-street parking facilities; consider proposed by-laws, policies affecting special projects and events; negotiate industrial agreements; staff salaries and wages; staff regulations and staff training.
