Biography
The Public Works committee is first mentioned in committee reports from 1867, however many of the functions of this committee including managing roading and city infrastructure and included in reports back to the start of the Council in 1862. The surviving meeting minutes for this committee begin in 1869. This committee then became the Works Committee in 1889.
