Scope and Contents
Photographs during the installation and first use of the Gondola on the Port Hills in Christchurch. Includes views from the gondola across to central Christchurch and over to Lyttelton and Banks Peninsula.
Includes staff who are part of the management of the gondola including portrait photographs of Craig Barnes and Stephen Walker of the Mt Cavendish Gondola Co. Includes the site of the Gondola station restaurant during construction and of its owner Tony Adcock. One photograph is of 100,000th visitor to the Gondola being awarded a complementary lift pass and dinner for two at the Gondola Ridge Restaurant.
