Photographs include a scene from the 1962 Ashby Bergh Rose Bowl ice hockey finals; the 1964 New Zealand ice skating marathon; the 1966 junior championship in South Canterbury; shot of the skating team during the 1965 Australian championship; Christchurch skaters at the 1975 New Zealand speed skating championship; the first New Zealand speed skating team overseas; shot of Austin Mckinley's attempt to beat the world record in 1977; scenes in the 1985 national indoor speed skating championship in Christchurch; shots from the 1988 New Zealand figure skating championship; the Cool 'N Lite New Zealand figure skating championship in Christchurch in 1990; the Centaurus club championship at the Alpine Centre; and Christchurch skaters during the 1992 Australian national championship. Image also include a view of the Rangitata Valley in 1941.
