Scope and Contents
Photographs relating to flooding in Southland, including damage and subsequent recovery. Aerial and elevated views of Mataura, Balclutha, Kelso, Conical Hill, Outram, Berwick, Henley Bridge, and Dunedin Airport are included. Most show floodwaters. Other photographs include damaged homes, farms, and affected residents in Kelso, Mataura, Gore, Otama; flood relief fundraising at Thorrington School; flooding of the Pomahaka River; abandoned vehicles; the burial of dead livestock near Tapanui; and a collapsed bridge at Heriot.
