Includes those of students in different classrooms at the school including with a voltage generator for a science display and using technology including a computer network - the first of its type to be installed in a New Zealand high school - and a music suite. Students are also pictured participating in the Chamber of Commerce Young Enterprises Scheme; performing in the school orchestra and high school brass bands; as part of the Boys' High School first 15 rugby team and those from the school yacht club clearing debris from the viaducts at McCormacks Bay as part of a community project. Events include visits of the New Zealand Chiefs of Staff and of the Rear-Admiral Sir Peter Phipps to the school; school open days and fairs and of German language and culture weekend celebrations. Fundraising events and activities include students doing gardening to raise money for the school; the Christchurch Boys High School Old Boys Association launching a centennial project appeal to raise money for a new school building and of a cheque presentation to the school from the parent-teacher association to buy teaching aids.
