Scope and Contents

Photographs relating to American heavyweight boxer Joe Frazier. The photographs include 14 action shots, depicting Frazier competing for various international titles. Frazier was the first boxer to defeat Muhammad Ali for the title of Heavyweight champion. Five of the photographs also depict Frazier's brief career as a pop singer. his group the 'Knockouts', toured Europe for ten days in 1971. People identified in these photographs include Yank Durham; Jimmy Ellis; Angelo Dundee; Tony Perez; Manuel Ramos; Muhammad Ali; Joe Bugner; Jerry Quarry; Natasha Frazier; Jonetta Frazier; Edwin P. Dooley; and George Foreman.
