The records of the North New Brighton Community Council, formerly known as the North New Brighton Residents' Association, includes minutes; correspondence; press clippings; membership information; financial records; newspaper clippings and informatio relating to local issues such as bus routes, power pylons and sand dune management. Includes correspondence relating to Festivals of Arts and Crafts, Queen Elizabeth II Park and refuse disposal.
Includes papers of other local organisations including the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council, North Beach Badminton Club and the North New Brighton War Memorial Hall/Community Centre.

About 3 boxes of material originally included in the collection have been discarded: duplicates, bank statements, accounts, receipts and non-Association publications.
Separated Materials
A series of scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings featuring the activities of the North New Brighton Community Council, listed in the Finding Aid and as Arch 0113 were originally on loan to Christchurch City Libraries. These were transferred back to the custody of Carol Evans in 2008 with the view these are to be deposited with the New Brighton and Districts Historical Society.
