Biographical / Historical
J Mallard & Son was a Cycle and Motorcycle Business where John Mallard and his son Charles Arthur Mallard imported and repaired bicycles and motorcycles. The business opened at 447 Colombo Street in 1912 and moved to 419-421 Colombo Street in 1916. The business was last listed in the Stones directory in 1926 and in 1927 another business, The Regal Cycle Company was listed at that address. Another son Stanley George Mallard also worked there at times.
