Cinema advertising glass slides

 Collection
Identifier: CCL Archive 0814

Content Description

A set of glass slides relating to cinema advertising. Three of these coloured glass slides advertise films, one at the Grand Opera House. Another slide is a request for patrons to leave by the nearest exit.

The remaining two slides advertise forthcoming recitals by the violinist Jan Kubelik (1880-1940), and the tenor Joseph Hislop (1884-1977), whose concert was to be at the Theatre Royal. Both these slides include portrait photographs of the performers.

The name W.W. Te Karaha is written in pencil on the wooden box.
