Scope and Contents
Christchurch Drainage Board Common Seal including screws used to secure the Seal to a table. The Seal is in two parts, the press and the large handle.
Also includes a metal plaque which reads Common Seal Christchurch District Drainage Board 1875-1989 and a wooden block plaque which reads Christchurch Drainage Board 1875-1989. Dies made to commemorate C.D.B Centenary 1975. Medals struck to commemorate the demise of the board 1989. Both of these plaques were removed from a large table which originally contained the seal.
Includes digital photographs of the Seal table prior and during the removal of the plaques. Note that at the time of the Seal being retrieved the Seal had already been removed from the table, therefore no photographs exist of the Seal attached to the table.

The table this Common Seal was affixed to was not retained as part of the Archives due to its size. Photographs were taken of the table prior and during the removal of the plaques.
