Scope and Contents
Royal Commission of Enquiry into Christchurch District Drainage verbatim report. Relates to discussions between various parties relating to the responsibilities of the Christchurch Drainage Board and drainage across the wider city. Includes representatives from the Heathcote Road Board, Avon Road Board, Riccarton Road Board, Spreydon Road District Board, Borough of Woolston and Borough of New Brighton. Also includes those representing Christchurch City Council and Christchurch Drainage Board.
W. S. Short was the commissioner and the enquiry was held a the Christchurch City Council Chambers from 10-15 June 1907. Includes an index of those giving evidence and handwritten annotations throughout.
The verbatim report is a transcription of shorthand notes taken by Ettie Rout and includes a signed declaration by Rout stating that the transcript is a true and accurate representation of the Christchurch Drainage Enquiry.
