Photocopied typescript reminiscences of Mary B. Thompson. Mary Thompsons reminiscences give descriptions of Christchurch in the very early days including her experiences opening a girls' school which continued until the late 1870s.
Mary was also a teacher, first at Maria Thomson's school in Christchurch for ten years. In the 1870s she had her own school in Greymouth.
