Biography
Design Services was part of the Technical Services Group which was created following the 1989 amalgamation.
Design Services included structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, roading and drainage engineers, a legal survey team, quantity surveyors and architecture and landscape architecture teams. Design Services became City Design in 1996.

Maps and plans of bridges in the central city and suburbs.Includes Christchurch Drainage Board plans 1879-1936; Aerial photographs 1930-1952; Bound volume of Block Plans 1879-1937; Plans for Queen Elizabeth II Park 1972-1988. Also includes a folder of Benchmarks. Benchmarks are levelled survey points located across the city, referred to as the Christchurch Drainage Datum (CDD).
