Scope and Contents

Maps and plans of bridges in the central city and suburbs.

Includes Christchurch Drainage Board plans 1879-1936; Aerial photographs 1930-1952; Bound volume of Block Plans 1879-1937; Plans for Queen Elizabeth II Park 1972-1988.

Also includes a folder of Benchmarks. Benchmarks are levelled survey points located across the city, referred to as the Christchurch Drainage Datum (CDD). The benchmarks are used to establish the site level control for civil construction works and provide control for monitoring the city’s drainage network.
