Biography
In 1938 the Bylaws, Finance, Departmental and Town Planning Committee was split into two committees. The Bylaws Finance and Departmental Committee and the Housing and Town Planning Committee. The Bylaws, Finance and Departmental Committee was responsible for all Bylaws to be enacted across the City as well as the management of all finances including the collection of the Council's revenue including rates, licences and rents. This committee also was responsible for all matters relating to staff employed at the Council. The committee retained responsibiltiy for the control of the Concert Hall.
