Robert George Bishop reminiscences

 Collection
Identifier: Arch 0242

Scope and Contents

Photocopies of handwritten and typescript original reminiscences of pioneer farming at Papanui and at Pleasant Point by Robert George Bishop. Includes "An account of the Bishop family", a family tree, by Miss R.S. Bishop, and a 1940 letter about Bishop's Road.

Bishop's Road was the continuation of Greers Road between Harewood Road and Sawyers Arms Road and was renamed in 1948 because of confusion with Bishop Street.
