Scope and Contents
Registered Town Planning files from the Christchurch City Council City Engineer's Department, later known as the City Works and Planning department. The functions of this department became the Environmental Administration Unit, part of the Development Group in 1992.
Files are on a range of subjects including statistical research, reserves and open spaces, commercial and retail, district scheme, master transport plan, historic buildings, urban renewal, Port Hills, Estuary and coastal areas, building files and files on subdivisions.
