Scope and Contents

The press clippings of Supreme Court and Court of Appeal case and legal judgements includes a manuscript index at front of volume, and some manuscript notes throughout.

The legal judgments, of which all but one are manuscript, are dated from 1879-1882. One is undated. The clippings are chiefly from the New Zealand mail, with some from the Otago Daily Times.

Sydenham photographs and pen and ink sketches

The collection includes photographs, 1877-1903, of Sydenham collated by the Local History Group of the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Federation of University Women as part of their research on the history of Sydenham. The collection includes two original pen and ink sketches, 1976, by Colleen O'Connor, of Sydenham houses and of some headstones in Addington Cemetery.
