Robert Falcon Scott papers
The handwritten letter of Dec. 8th. 1901, from the Discovery, thanks the people of Canterbury for the sheep donated for his expedition. The second letter, written in Christchurch on Nov. 15th.1910, is typescript, signed by Scott, and thanks the City for the gift, from Mr. H. Greenbank, of a mounted horseshoe. Its letterhead reads "British Antarctic Expedition, Terra Nova R.Y.S.".

Bishop's Road was the continuation of Greers Road between Harewood Road and Sawyers Arms Road and was renamed in 1948 because of confusion with Bishop Street.
