Scope and Contents

Records relating to a wide range or events and activities hosted by Christchurch City Council for the general public.

Includes an extensive amount of CDs, videos, photographs, negatives and slides for promotional activities and events including Summertimes, KidsFest, Heritage Week, ANZAC Parade and marketing to promote the central city. Includes an example textile flag used as part of city wide promotion and display. Also includes cycling brochure material and sheets of 35mm slides of Christchurch City photographs.

A lot of the content on the CDs forms part of a photographic library used by Communications and Promotions Unit as part of the creation of Council publications and promotional material. Some of the CD content includes design files created by the Design Team relating to the process of creating promotional materials.

Includes one box of Council produced publications, retained by the Unit as examples of work produced.
